Sydney Olympic Park Hockey Centre
Opened in 1998, the
Sydney Olympic Park Hockey Centre is one of the world’s best hockey
venues and home to the offices of Hockey NSW. Awarded the highest
accolades by players and sporting officials, this outstanding venue has
two water based synthetic pitches, seating for up to 4,000 spectators
and other facilities including medical and physiotherapy services,
change rooms and an excellent players lounge.
The Sydney Olympic Park Hockey Centre was the venue for Paralympic
Football and hosted
men’s and women’s hockey for the 2000 Olympic Games,
where the Kookaburras won a bronze medal, and the Hockeyroos won their
third consecutive gold medal.
The Sydney Olympic Park Hockey Centre is a training and competition
venue for players of all levels ranging from school teams to world-class
athletes. The venue also has the versatility to stage gridiron, touch
football, Oztag and lacrosse.
