Sydney Olympic Park Sports Halls
The Sydney Olympic Park Sports
Halls were provided by the NSW Government as a legacy of the Sydney 2000
Olympic and Paralympic Games. The State Sports Centre Trust operates the
Halls as a training and participation venue for the following Olympic
sports:
The Sydney Olympic
Park Sports Halls are one of the newest sporting facilities to be opened to
the public at Sydney Olympic Park. Comprised of two large halls of over
3000 square metres each, this centre has been fitted out to accommodate
a range of sporting activities.
The East hall has a sprung timber floor. The North Hall
located behind the East Hall is designed for judo and other martial art
sports. The West hall
has a Taraflex floor throughout.
Sports that can be catered for include Table Tennis (14
tables), Badminton (12 courts), Judo (2 mat areas), Volleyball (capacity
for 13 courts), Handball (2 full size courts), Netball and Indoor
Soccer.
The
Sports Halls
are an ideal venue for a wide range of sports programs. They are
easily accessible by car, train and bus. Refreshments and full kiosk
services are also available each day.
