Arena
The Arena is the focal point of the Sydney Olympic Park Sports Centre. It comprises of 3854 permanent and retractable seats. An additional 1152 portable seats can be accommodated on the floor level. The overall floor area measures 57 meters by 38 meters with a clear working height of 12.5 meters.
On level 1, there are up to eight change rooms to cater for teams or groups and also separate change areas for referees, game officials and special guests. Also on level 1, there is a marshalling or backstage area at the southern end of the arena with easy access to the loading dock.
Media areas are available on Level 3 including radio control rooms and television platforms. Catwalks are available for the servicing of the building as well as assisting with the installation of additional sound and lighting systems. The Arena lighting system is of international playing standards. 3 Phase power outlets are conveniently located on level 1 and also on the catwalk.
The Arena can be divided to enable multi use for competition or training. The polished wooden floor is also perfect for dinners and corporate functions. There are 100 car parking spots in P7 available for exclusive use to the hirer on the event day.
The Box Office is located on Level 3 near Door 1 giving spectators easy access to the seating area.
